CESAB LOOKS FORWARD TO 2020 GROWTH

Sustainable technology, product innovation and future growth were on the agenda at Cesab Material Handling Europe’s 2020 Dealer Event.

Lisbon, Portugal, was the destination for 180 people from the 140-strong European dealership network, who met with colleagues from Cesab’s head office and branches to review the past year and preview 2020 under the theme of ‘Looking Forward’.

Innovative battery technology, new product ranges and the expansion of Cesab’s network were just a few of the discussions at the event, with five new dealerships welcomed with a special plaque.

The new Cesab dealerships include Spanish businesses Eleva Forklift, S.L. and Olmar Elevacion, S.L., Azerbaijan dealership Khazar Inshaat Shirketi LLC, Bulgarian dealership Swift Cargo Ltd and Portuguese dealership Empizinhos.

Ton de Hollander, Senior Marketing Product Manager, Cesab Material Handling Europe, gave a preview of Cesab product launches to come this year, and announced the phased introduction of Li-ion batteries across most of Cesab’s electric ranges from this year on.

With more details to be given when each product is launched, new trucks for 2020 will include the Cesab P216i powered pallet truck with Li-ion battery, the Cesab LLOP (Low Level Order Picker) O-Series, the Cesab P013i pedestrian pallet truck with Li-ion battery and a refreshed Cesab SIMAI Tow Tractor range. All delegates had the opportunity to test out these trucks during a hands-on session at the event.

The achievements of 2019 were celebrated in a short animation featuring the song Champions by James Blunt and highlighted events that Cesab and the dealers have taken part in. These included the LogiMAT exhibition and images from a trip to Riga by the network’s top performers.

After a day of presentations and product previews, all the dealers went on a guided tour of Lisbon by tuk-tuk and enjoyed tastings of traditional Portuguese food, followed by dinner at the prestigious Kais restaurant, based in a former electricity power station for trams, on the banks of the Tagus river.

CESAB dealer meeting 2020

Claus Christensen, Managing Director of Cesab Material Handling Europe said:

“Our 2020 Dealer Event was a fantastic opportunity to bring the whole Cesab family together, celebrate everything achieved last year, and look forward to the next phase. We’ve got a huge amount to focus on in 2020, with a wave of product launches and more new dealerships expected to join the network.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to these developments, from the sales teams to the product development teams, and particularly to all the dealers for participating, contributing and helping to make this meeting such a big success.

‘Here’s to even more growth in 2020.’
